All-State Fence & Supply

Midland, TX Permian Basin Fencing Contractors

Fence installation, repair and fencing supply for oilfield, commercial and residential property, with supply centers in Midland, Lubbock and Amarillo.

All-State Fence & Supply installs, builds and repairs fencing and sells fencing materials from three supply centers in West Texas. The business was founded in Lubbock in 1979 by Brent Stewart and is family owned and operated. Its site states a specialty in security fence for the oil and gas industry, and the company takes on both commercial and residential work.

Across the three locations, the company reports building roughly 50,000 fences over more than 40 years in business. It describes the Midland site as the largest fence supply center in West Texas, and states it carries the largest inventory of fencing supplies in West Texas, the Permian Basin area, the Texas Panhandle and eastern New Mexico.

Fence styles and services

Fencing is built in four main material types:

  • Wood, including board on board, decorative cap, dog ear and gothic point
  • Chain link
  • Ornamental iron
  • PVC

Work spans new installation, fence repair, custom gates and custom fence design across residential and commercial property. Sealants and loose fencing materials are also sold over the counter, a side of the business started in 2001 to make the same materials used by the installation crews available to the public, building contractors, cities and schools.

Materials and brands

The company names the material grades it says it fits as standard: schedule 40 pipe in metal frame gates and fence posts, GAW rather than GBW chain link fabric, and Western Red Cedar rather than imported cedar. Named products it stocks include:

  • Ameristar, wrought iron fencing
  • Wood Defender, stain
  • LiftMaster Professional, gate openers

Background

Brent Stewart began repairing fences in Lubbock in 1979 while attending Texas Tech University, hauling a wheelbarrow and posthole digger in the trunk of his car, and moved into the trade full time the following year. He and Patti Stewart formed All-State Fence & Supply in September 2001, added a related company, All-State Distributors, in 2008, and opened the Permian Basin and Amarillo supply centers in the years that followed.

The company states that its crews are insured and pass background checks, that its people hold more than 100 years of combined fence building experience, and that it has been voted best fence company for 20 years running.
