Fabrication

Wire rope and chain sling fabrication is performed in house by the company's own craftsmen. Facilities run high-capacity hydraulic presses and tooling sized for the largest sling and socketed line configurations. Wire rope is purchased in bulk and stocked across a range of constructions, grades and coatings.

Other fabricated items include hand-spliced slings, single and multi-leg sling bridles, wire rope grommets, and swaged and socketed assemblies. Socketing is done in house using both molten zinc (spelter) and poured resin systems such as Crosby Wirelock. Chain slings are built as single and multi-leg, mechanically coupled, and welded assemblies.

Mooring lines

Mooring lines are supplied in 720-foot coils with six-foot canvas-covered eyes on both ends and are certified by ABS or Lloyd's. Maxiflex Gold is OCIMF approved for tanker use, and mooring tails are available on request.
