Cobalt Truck Equipment

Cobalt Truck Equipment sells, upfits and services work trucks and truck-mounted equipment from five branches across the United States. The lineup covers mechanics trucks, lube and fuel trucks, crane trucks, utility and service bodies, bucket and boom trucks and tank trucks, in both new and used inventory, alongside parts, whole goods and custom engineering. Its own configured truck lines are branded Lube Pro, Fuel Pro and Mechanic Pro. Construction, utility and heavy equipment operators are the customer base the company names.

Founded in 1995 as a single location in Meridian, Idaho with 12 employees, the business now reports more than 100 team members. Dan Duncan is named as CEO.

Branches

The company states the San Antonio branch was opened in response to growth in its Texas and Oklahoma sales.

Trucks and chassis

Inventory is organized by upfit type and by chassis. Chassis carried include Chevrolet, Ford, International, Kenworth, Peterbilt and Ram, in diesel, with 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains and Allison or TorqShift transmissions. Engines listed across the inventory include Caterpillar, Cummins, Duramax, Powerstroke and PACCAR. Financing is offered on truck purchases.

Service and repair

Field service technicians travel to the equipment for general repairs plus lighting, electrical and hydraulic work. Annual servicing and certification on cranes, liftgates, compressors and welders is offered, along with DOT inspections required by law. Technical support handles equipment issues and warranty questions.

A paint and body shop operates at three of the branches, staffed by trained paint technicians, with what the company describes as over 28 years of experience.

Equipment and component brands shown include IMT, Auto Crane, Knapheide, Liftmoore, Vanair, VMAC, Miller Electric, Wilcox Bodies, Brand FX, RKI, Pioneer Truckweld, KH Truckweld, Buyers Products, Graco, Ecco and Zumro. Branches also hold whole goods and shop supplies on hand, including drawer units, toolboxes and truck accessories, and the company states all materials and equipment can be shipped.
