Corrosion Technologies

Corrosion Technologies manufactures and distributes protective chemical products, spanning corrosion prevention compounds, lubricants, cleaners and degreasers, protective coatings, soil stabilizers and oil spill remediation. The company was formed in Dallas, Texas, in February 1988 to commercialize an anti-corrosion invention for the aviation industry, and that invention grew into the CorrosionX line. Product families now carry the CorrosionX, RejeX, ReelX, SpeedX and Ground Glue brand names.

Alongside the product catalog, the company offers corrosion control and asset management services and runs a USN Topside Corrosion Mitigation Program. Anthony Iannarelli has served as chief executive since April 2018, and the marketing lead, J.D. Hill, is a US Coast Guard certified Master Mariner and a member of the American Society of Naval Engineers.

Several cleaning products are documented against published specifications, including MIL-C-878937 Type II, ASTM F-484 Type A for stress crazing of acrylic plastic, and ASTM F502 for effects on painted aircraft surfaces. Concentrates such as Xtreme Clean dilute with up to 60 parts water, and Pro Wash RX is a non-butyl formulation with zero VOCs.

Soil stabilization and spill remediation

Ground Glue Soil Stabilizer is a concentrate that binds soil to assist compaction, prevent erosion and suppress dust, and it is directed at extremely dry conditions and deep powdery dust. It is sold by the tanker load of approximately 4,700 gallons with professional application on site, and it is not intended for decomposed granite. A separate Ground Glue Dust and Gravel product covers normal soil types and gravel drives.

LFS-1 treats soil and water contaminated by hydrocarbon spills including oil, gas and diesel. It suspends ten specialized strains of Pseudomonas and Acinetobacter bacteria that metabolize hydrocarbons into carbon dioxide and fatty acids, and the company states that some jobs finish in as little as 30 days while others take longer. It can also be run in bioreactors, where contaminated soil or water is pumped into vessels and aerated until hydrocarbon levels fall.

Toll blending and contract manufacturing

Corrosion Technologies provides turnkey toll blending and manufacturing, covering custom chemical formulation, blending, warehousing and fulfillment for client-owned products. Stated capabilities include:
