ProPetro Services

ProPetro Services provides hydraulic fracturing, cementing and wireline services to upstream oil and gas producers developing North American unconventional oil and natural gas resources. The company was founded in 2005, and in 2010 management refocused it on building a hydraulic fracturing platform targeting the Permian Basin. Operations center on the Midland and Odessa area, with cementing sites in Texas and New Mexico.

ProPetro describes itself as a Permian Basin resident company, and states that it and its vendors provide hundreds of jobs across Midland, Odessa and surrounding communities. Stated priorities include workforce and community safety, capital discipline through industry cycles, and reducing the carbon cost of customer projects.

Hydraulic fracturing

Engineers, technicians and field personnel design and execute completion programs on high intensity, technically complex frac jobs. Fleets are largely standardized across units, which the company states makes maintenance and repair more efficient and reduces equipment downtime.

Between 2010 and 2018, a series of acquisitions and a new build program took the fleet past 600,000 hydraulic horsepower. In 2019 ProPetro acquired the pumping services assets of Pioneer Natural Resources, bringing the total to nearly 1.5 million hydraulic horsepower.

FORCE electric fleet

FORCE is the company's all electric frac fleet, designed to run on grid power with backup generators. Reported features include:

• Dual 3,000 horsepower independently controlled pump systems on a single trailer, 6,000 horsepower total
• Fully autonomous operation with no operator console, and elimination of operating hydraulics
• Ambidextrous suction and discharge manifolds with a high volume mixing chamber
• Autonomous blender operation, which removes the blender operator and reduces silica exposure
• Ten chemical add capability, with an optional 8,000 pound hopper for dry guar, FR and HVFR
• Power distribution center for electric wireline, sand conveyance, data van and auxiliary systems, rated to 75 MW
• AccuFrac Job Center for remote backside control and data acquisition, and AccuFrac Power Center for power monitoring and load control

Cementing

The cementing division handles work ranging from small casing leaks to three mile laterals and high density kick-off plugs, using tailored flushes and cement designs. Units carry fluid density monitoring systems and can record and chart densities, volumes and pressures.

Silvertip Wireline

ProPetro acquired Silvertip Completion Services Operating, LLC, a Midland, Texas based oilfield services company, in November 2022. Silvertip provides wireline and pumpdown services, including logging, perforating and pressure control. PROPWR and Aqua Prop are also listed among the company's service lines.
