Stabil Drill

Stabil Drill runs a downhole tool yard on South County Road 1273 in Midland, serving drilling operations across the Permian Basin. The company rents and manufactures bottom hole assembly tools including stabilizers, reamers, drill collars, hole openers and Z-bits, along with drilling motors, jars and shock subs, and fluid management equipment such as mud buckets and inline filters. In-house welding and repair covers hardfacing, stub welding and shot peening. This yard operated as Rival Downhole Tools until Superior Energy Services acquired Rival in February 2025 and combined it with Stabil Drill. The Rival name continues as the drilling motor product line.
