Tri Tool Technologies designs and builds portable machine tools for pipe and tube end preparation, cutting, beveling and severing. The catalog spans tube facing and squaring machines, split-frame and clamshell lathes, flange facing systems, track milling, trepanning and boiler tube tooling, along with consumable bits, hydraulic power units and Walhonde pipe clamps. Tube facing and squaring

The 300 series and STS machines face, square and, on some models, bevel and ID prep pipe and tube ends in place, with cordless, electric and air motor options depending on model. Mounting is by OD saddle, with a tooless quick-change saddle system on the STS-4 and a manual saddle clamping system with three tool bit slots on the STS-8.

End prep beveling

Surefire machines bevel and face thin wall pipe and tube, with the Surefire 1.5 built to a low profile, in-line form for boiler tubes. Larger beveling models in the 200 series carry ranges out to 42 inches with air, electric and hydraulic motor options, and the line also includes the CouponMaster and the 536 Fitting Machine.

Severing and split-frame lathes

Split-frame and clamshell lathes in the SBCM, SB and RBL series sever and bevel in-line tube and pipe, with catalog ranges running from 0.405 inches up to 60 inches. Larger models offer self-centering or fully adjustable clamping pads for out-of-round pipe, two-piece and four-piece housing options, and air, electric, hydraulic or servo motors.

Dedicated severing machines include the PolySever 6 for PVDF and polypropylene pipe from 1.5 to 6 inches, and compact units for tube and thin wall pipe with auto-feed and quick lock collets. BoilerMaster machines face, counterbore and bevel boiler pipe and tube from 0.610 to 4.500 inches, with a cordless brushless DC version listed as new.

Configurable and engineered solutions

Configurable systems are specified by diameter range, mounting style, drive system and tooling options, then engineered to those parameters. The configurable lines cover:

Track-mounted milling uses segmented, configurable rails that mount directly to the workpiece, which the company says lets technicians mill flat surfaces on curved or vertical shells and cut access windows in thick-walled vessels without removing the component from service. Flange facing is presented as restoring mating surfaces to spec, with reference to ASME and API standards and to flange face finish requirements for gasket seating.
